With the rise in popularity of yoga, eastern religions and alternative medicine, many of us may find ourselves asking, “alright, cool, but does it really work?” Since many trends are not based on scientific evidence or facts, this is a legitimate question.

It’s not just for buddhists and yogis – meditation can be used in all kinds of situations, from a 2 minute breathing exercise to calm your nerves all the way up to hour-long mind relaxation sessions.
